Croc's Playcentre

Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

The short version

  • We collect the details you give us when you book, join Mr Croc's Club, buy a gift card or contact a centre, and we use them to look after your visit.
  • We only send marketing email or SMS to people who asked for it, and every marketing message has an unsubscribe link that works straight away.
  • We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
  • This website sets no cookies and keeps no record of who you are.

Who we are

Croc's Playcentre is a group of indoor play centres across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Croc's Playcentre and the individual centres that trade under the Croc's Playcentre name, some of which are independently owned and operated franchises.

This policy covers this website (crocsplaycentre.com.au), each centre's website, Mr Croc's Club, our booking and party systems, and the email and SMS messages we send. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

What we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • your name, email address, mobile number and postcode
  • your preferred centre
  • booking, party and visit details, such as dates, guest numbers and dietary or allergy notes you choose to give us
  • your children's first names and dates of birth, if you add them to a party booking or a Mr Croc's Club membership
  • purchase history for entry, parties, memberships, gift cards and food
  • anything you tell us when you contact a centre, enter a competition or leave feedback

We collect this directly from you, when you fill in a form, make a booking, join Mr Croc's Club or speak to our staff. Card payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card number.

If you review a centre publicly, for example on Google, we may read and respond to that review. We see only what the review platform shows publicly.

You can visit a centre or browse our websites without telling us who you are. Some things, such as a party booking, need your contact details to work.

Children's information

Our centres are for children, but our accounts, bookings and memberships are for their parents and carers. We ask a parent or guardian, not a child, for any information about a child, and we only ask for what we need, such as a first name and birthday so we can run a party or send a birthday offer. We do not send marketing to children.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • take and manage bookings, parties, memberships and purchases
  • send confirmations, receipts, reminders and changes to your booking
  • run Mr Croc's Club, including member offers and birthday rewards
  • send news and offers, if you have agreed to receive them
  • answer your questions and handle feedback or complaints
  • keep our centres safe, including incident and allergy records
  • improve our centres and services
  • meet our legal obligations

We do not use your information for any other purpose unless you agree to it or the law allows or requires it.

Email and SMS

We send two kinds of message.

Service messages are about something you have done with us: booking confirmations, receipts, party reminders, membership sign-up, password resets and changes to a booking. We send these because you need them, and they continue while your booking or membership is active.

Marketing messagesare news, events and offers. We send these only to people who have opted in, for example by ticking the box when joining Mr Croc's Club or signing up at a centre. We do not buy, rent or borrow mailing lists, and we do not add anyone to our lists who has not asked to be on them.

Every marketing message we send:

  • clearly identifies Croc's Playcentre as the sender
  • includes a working unsubscribe link (for SMS, a reply-to-stop instruction)
  • stops as soon as you unsubscribe, and in any case within five business days

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop service messages about a booking you have made. You can also ask any centre to remove you.

Our email delivery providers (such as Amazon Web Services) send messages on our behalf and handle them only under our instructions. Addresses that bounce or that report a message as unwanted are automatically suppressed so we stop sending to them. We may record whether an email was delivered or opened so we can keep our lists accurate and our messages useful.

Who we share it with

We never sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only where needed to provide our services:

  • between Croc's Playcentre and the centre you visit, book with or nominate as your preferred centre
  • with service providers who work for us, such as booking and membership systems, payment processors, website hosting and email and SMS delivery, under contracts that require them to protect it
  • with professional advisers, insurers and authorities where the law requires or allows it, or to protect someone's safety

Storage outside Australia

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

This website and cookies

This landing page sets no cookies of its own. It counts page views and which state tab is chosen in the store finder so we know the site is working, but it does not record your name, IP address, device or any identifier, so those counts cannot be linked to you. If a page fails to load properly, a technical error report is sent to us; it contains the page address and the error, not your personal details.

Our analytics tools may also measure how the site is used in aggregate. Each centre's website and Mr Croc's Club may use cookies for bookings, sign-in and analytics, and will tell you about them there. Links to other websites, such as Google reviews or social media, are covered by those sites' own policies.

Security and retention

We protect personal information with access controls, encrypted connections and reputable service providers, and we limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a data breach is likely to cause serious harm we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. You can update most details yourself in your Mr Croc's Club account, or ask your centre. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you for making a request. If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why.

Questions and complaints

For a question about privacy, a request, or a complaint, contact the centre you deal with through its own website, which you can find from the store finder on our home page. Tell us what happened and how you would like it resolved, and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au (opens in a new tab).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
